Thank you for the smell of dirty diapers and dampened sheets,
Trust they did not smell like roses; so pure and sweet
Thank you for the fits and fights and temper tantrums,
Memories would not be complete without them
Thank you for fighting so much bad guy crime,
God will be in need of your powers from time to time
Thank you for the laughter and the tears,
They have made us stronger through the years
You’ve taught us selflessness, compassion, and irrevocable love little man,
Through the wink of your eye, and your “rock on” hands
Days will be sad from the absence of that certain joy only your presence can supplement,
But believe me child your memory, love, and spirit are permanent
